Tomy had been gelded only months before I first went to meet him, and I was afraid he'd have testosterone flashbacks! But this special guy had a fabulous disposition, and I ended up leasing him for nearly two years from Darelyn Nordin who currently stands his son Kenos Riverdance. Tomy was initially my partner for mounted appearances when I was Ms. Country Western Arizona which included parades, rodeo grand entries, hot laps, and carrying the American flag at various events. After my year-long reign, in 1999 Tomy and I went on to win year-end high-point championships, both English and western, on three different local show circuits and placed at the 1999 Pinto Nationals in Tulsa!
Tomy is currently owned by my friend Lisa, a fellow Ms. Country Western Arizona competitor and now professional equine photographer who performs her civic duty on Tomy as a member of the mounted posse!
They have given us the incredible opportunity to lease Tomy as a lesson horse to teach our students the ropes, and Lisa borrows him occasionally to perform his civic duty on the mounted posse!
